When my husband and I started working night we bought black-out curtains for most of the house so we would be able to sleep during the daytime. They definitely work because it always feels like night item in our house.
There were so many places I was considering putting this light that it was hard to choose. I finally decided to put it over the door way in the hallway so that it would come on during the evening when get up to go to the bathroom. We do not have any outlets in the hallway and the light switch is down the hall on the other side of the bathroom. We figured this would be great so we won't be stumbling down the hallway in the dark trying to find the switch. It's also nice to have there when my 5 and 7 yr old nieces spend the night so they don't have to get up and walk down a dark hallway. It takes 3 AA batteries and has 3 led lights that will come when motion is detected within 9' or 120 degrees of sensor. It shuts off after 30 seconds of not detecting movement. It has just enough light to light up the hallway without waking up the entire house. We could have used this in our bathroom, stairway, garage at night when we let the dogs out, in the kitchen by the fridge or even by our front door we wouldn't have to enter a dark house. It would also be a great light to have in a power outage situation. It was very easy to install. You have 2 options; you can use the screws and mount it on the wall or you can use the very strong double sided velcro that is included. We choose to use the Velcro, just be careful what surface you use it on since it could damage it if you try to remove it from wall paper or paint. You can get yours here. You can also get a great discount if you purchase a 3 pack here
I received this for free for my honest and unbiased review.
