My husband is a big kid at heart and loves playing with remote control cars at the park with the kids. We have another drone we got a few years ago but it was a bit difficult to steer and he lost interest quickly. It was probably made for someone a little more experienced. The WI-FI Drone by #Attop is made for beginners and has a very user friendly remote. It’s similar in shape to his gaming system so it was comfortable for him to operate. He had it outside doing flips in a matter of minutes. It operates with the XT Go App that we downloaded from the play store for Androids and is available for iOS as well. You need a Wi-Fi connection to use it, so I use the tethering feature on my phone for signal when we are away from home. You should check to see if tethering is included in your phone plan, otherwise you may be charged for it. The signal from my house is strong enough for my husband to fly it 2 or 3 houses down on our street. You can take pictures and video in 720P HD from the XT Go app. We have successfully transferred the picture files but are having an issue with the MP4 files saying: This item was encoded in a format that's not supported. We are still working on figuring that out. The camera gives true color and panoramic images in so you can view in real-time on the app. The remote has a fixed spot to hold your phone (as pictured). It has one button take off and landing which my husband had figured out in the first few minutes. In altitude mode you can hover in one spot to take pictures and video from above. The headless mode makes the front side of the drone mirror the remote control, making is much easier to get it where you want it to go. The app also allows you to control the Drone hands free with your voice with commands like; left side, right side, forward, backward, take off and landing. The battery lasts for about 7 – 8 minutes when fully charged, which is pretty standard for drones this size and weight. You can purchase extra batteries very affordably to keep it in the air longer. Another feature we haven’t got to use yet is the Trajectory feature. You can pre-map your flight course by drawing it on your touch screen and your drone will follow your path. The Drone has a gravity control to make controlling it even easier. There is even a built-in video shooting game you can play. My husband isn’t big on reading instructions so he was able to do most of this without them, but for the more advanced features like Trajectory and the Headless you will want to read up to get the most out of your drone. This is a great toy for your family to fly together and perfect starter drone to get used to flying.
