I am pretty good with a crock pot, but I don’t have a lot of experience using a pressure cooker. I’ve seen so many articles and recipes lately for these types of appliances. I love being able to cut cooking time down and still ending up with moist, flavorful food. My husband works a lot so that’s more time I can spend with him and less time preparing meals. We eat healthy for the most part and hard-boiled eggs is always something that I make a big batch of on Sunday evenings. I usually make them on the stove top, which is fine, but you have pull them at the right time depending on how you like them cooked. We usually wait until the water boils to add the eggs, so it takes around 15 min. I like mine just a little soft in the yolk. My husband picked up a 3.5lb pork butt roast on sale and we had some baby potatoes we thought would go well with the roast. We added about 3 cups of water since we didn’t have any broth on hand and seasoned with garlic, salt pepper and few other things. I rubbed the roast with some olive oil and some port seasoning and placed it on top of the roast in the cooking pot. I used the meat/stew setting for about an hour and it came out perfect. The port roast was completely cooked, moist and delicious. We had some for dinner and we had enough that my husband froze some for another meal. I have so many things that I want to try, and I feel like I am getting the hang of using it. I’d to try out some more complicated recipes, maybe some canning, and I am definitely going to try to make a cake in it.
