I finally quit smoking last December after smoking on and off since I was a teenager. I have a major fear of the dentist and while I take care of my teeth, they would be in better shape if I had kept up regular visits. I never really noticed how stained my teeth were until I quit, but I'm sure drinking coffee, tea and soda contributed as well. I have tried whitening strips before, but I already have sensitive teeth and it seemed to aggravate it.
I must admit, I assumed that by the looks of it the Activated Charcoal Powder with Coconut would taste bad and feel gritty, but that was not the case. It has a light peppermint flavor and it does not feel gritty at all. It says to place a pinch on brush, I found it easier to dip my toothbrush in it. That may not be the most sanitary way, but I am the only one using it here and it was easier to get a decent amount of powder on my brush that way. It says to brush for two minutes, twice a day for best results. I have only been using it once a day for about a week, you may see accelerated results if you use more frequently. it leaves my teeth feeling clean and smooth like when you get a deep cleaning at the dentist office. One thing I will advise is to take an old towel or paper towels and cover your surrounding counter top, this stuff while effective, gets pretty messy. The good thing is though, that it does not stain and wipes up very easily. If you are looking for a natural way to whiten your teeth without all the harsh whitening strips and pastes, this is a great alternative. Its 100% vegan and gluten-free!
